Great White guitarist Mark Kendall revealed on social media that he has stage four kidney cancer. The 68-year-old musician was diagnosed months ago, but he initially kept the news private until he understood more about his condition. “Just to give you an update the tumor has shrunk from 13 centimeters to eight, so I’m going in the right direction with my first scan,” Kendall shared, while optimistically adding, “There isn’t a cure for cancer but what I have is manageable. I have the best doctors in the world.” Rather than financial assistance, Kendall only requests “prayers and encouragement,” while maintaining a positive outlook despite the diagnosis. “I’m gonna fight this thing and be okay,” Kendall assured his fans. Great White has one remaining 2025 concert scheduled for December 5 in Moncton, Canada, before resuming shows in January 2026, including an appearance later that year on the Monsters of Rock cruise with Night Ranger and Queensrÿche.
